A three-dimensional (3D) technology and creation expo opened at the Chaoyang Museum of Urban Planning on Dec 9. It was part of the ninth session of the Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo and carried the theme of "capital market and 3D industry economy".
The Expo featured many long duration, and innovative activities. It began with the week-long Chinese Young Generation Film Forum on Nov 2, and has held exciting events every day ever since, including 3D short films, a 3D equipment exhibition, a 3D technology products and films promotion meeting, and an exhibition of sculptures by Chinese artist Ren Yanming .
The Chaoyang museum proposed a development model for the 3D industry at a summit on the opening day. The model aims to introduce capital operations and integrate 3D products (technology and content) R&D, expo, promotion, investment and financing. It will form a sustainable 3D industrial development system that is supported by multiple platforms and integrates industries, and offers services for new 3D technology, products and equipment, as well as professional exhibitions, exchange platforms, 3D promotion and trade facilities.
The expo drew in many 3D film and television experts from both China and abroad, as well as companies from Hollywood, professional investors and users. More than 300 guests got together and discussed the future of the 3D industry. They showed strong interest in joining the 3D sector.
