Zhongguancun Innovation Street, which opened on June 12, focuses on the needs of start-up companies and has committed itself to building an entrepreneurial environment with sound service functions.
The institutes in the street and the services they provide show that the area is on the fast track to building an innovation and entrepreneurship ecological system.
So far, the street has brought together 16 innovation service institutes, such as Garage Coffee, 36 Kr and 3W Cafe, and formed an entrepreneurship ecological system that covers investment and finance matching, business model construction, team integration, and media information.
A total of 339 start-up teams have settled there, including 48 from abroad. The number of business angels and investment institutes working with the street has surpassed 2,000. A total of 123 teams have received financing, with 5 million yuan ($814,956) on average and 615 million yuan in total. A total of 369 online and offline innovation and entrepreneurship activities have been held, attracting 28,000 people.
The street will screen institutes for entry to upgrade diverse and differentiated services to start-up teams and step up efforts to make space and introduce high-end institutes, and invite top-notch institutes worldwide to settle in. It will introduce an administrative service center and build an entrepreneurship reception room to offer review, approval and policy consultation services for street business tenants.
Relevant departments will strengthen guidance of the settlers, formulate a service manual, and offer concise and transparent guidelines. The entrepreneurship display service will be enhanced and an innovation display center will be built to publicize the new technology and products from the street.
