As part of the 2014 China-South Africa Year activities, a global tour of a long epic oil painting named Mandela came to Beijing's 798 Art Zone on Nov 25, aiming to commemorate Nelson Mandela. The painting, which is 30 meters long and 3.3 meters high, was created by artist Li Bing over two years.
The painting will also be exhibited in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other regions from July 18 next year, and will finally end its tour in South Africa.
