The Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing is is exhibiting the traditional customs of the Lili ethnic group from Southwest China's Yunnan province.
The exhibit, part of celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the autonomous prefecture of the Lili ethic group in Yunnan, aims to provide an understanding of the ethnic group's unique water-based, and their picturesque home built along the Nu River.
"We hope through the exhibition people will come and visit to understand our colorful customs and enjoy our beautiful natural landscape," said Li Siming, the governor of the prefecture.
The exhibition will last till Nov 23.
The theatre of the Cultural Palace of Nationalities will also put on a dance performance about the Lili which will reflect characteristics, such as braveness and honesty, the group values.
