Colorful leaves aren't the only things putting on a show as brisk gusts announce autumn is blowing into Beijing.
Beneath the multihued treetops, womenswear is also changing, as fall fashion takes the capital by storm - and with style. Cute hats, knee boots, scarves and tippets are keeping young women warm - and many hope also making them look hot.
Some remain reluctant to cover their legs despite the cold, as the mercury has hardly crept higher than 15 C in recent days.
Ultimately, some women's attire suggests sustaining body temperature comes second to style on the catwalk that is the capital. Given the choice between "brrr" and brilliant, many believe the answer is as clear as the crispest autumn air.
