Zhongguancun International Digital Design Center (Zhongguancun's Dream Lab) recently held Zhongguancun Digital Design Entrepreneurship Competition.
The contest covered intelligent hardware (including wearable equipment), visible light communication, digital multimedia and mobile internet.
Contestants could also join the contest in foreign countries including the US.
There were a total of 18 awards, and a series of activities were held, such as training, project matching and product displays to encourage new entrepreneurship service institutes to play their role and participate in the contest. Advisors, training and funding were also offered to contestants.
The winning projects will be displayed at Zhongguancun's Dream Lab and have the opportunity of being incubated. Winners can also get a one-year lease of office space, covering an area of 40-70 square meters, with 8-10 stations, as well as a start-up investment capped at 100,000 yuan ($16314). At the same time, they will have access to the district government's equity investment recommendation and venture capitalists' professional consultations.
