Changping Park has founded an alliance for the health industry and set up six overseas liaison offices, which provide a channel for high-tech enterprises to exchange international resources, Beijing Daily reported on Sept 16.
The administrative committee of Changping Park signed strategic cooperation agreements with five overseas institutions to set up liaison offices in California's Silicon Valley, New Jersey, Boston, Toronto and South Korea's Gangwon-do in August.
Changping Park has more than 400 bio-pharmaceutical enterprises and many scientific research institutions. Enterprises in the park are looking overseas, while overseas companies want to make contacts within China. These liaison offices will act as intermediary organizations and help enterprises find their partners, according to a representative from the administrative committee.
Established in November 1991, Changping Park lies in Changping district, northwest of Beijing. With a planned area of 11.48 square kilometers, the park is an integral part of the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park.
