Shops in boarding schools are barred from selling carbonated beverages, under a new regulation released by the Beijing Disease Control and Prevention Center.
Additionally, high school and primary school canteens may not repeat their menus in less than a week, and rice and noodles, millet, corn, oats, green beans and kidney beans must be served. Students' daily meals must contain no more than 6 grams of salt and no less than 25 grams of oil, the regulation says.
