Mongolian thief gets detention, deportation

A 26-year-old Mongolian man who was arrested for stealing a woman's cell phone at a roadside stall in Fengtai district, Beijing, was sentenced to six months' detention and fined 1,000 yuan ($160). The cell phone he tried to steal was only worth 290 yuan. He will also be deported after he completes his detention.
