An alliance for the health industry was established in Zhongguancun's Changping Park on Aug 30, Beijing Evening News reported on Saturday.
The alliance consists of five state-level research and development institutions, three multinational corporations, five listed companies, five academicians, five overseas institutions, two large-scale hospitals and several financial services institutions.
A number of key projects have been settled in the park and will be complete in the next three years, with a total investment exceeding 10 billion yuan ($1.63 billion).
The administrative committee of Changping Park also signed strategic cooperation agreements with five overseas institutions. It will set up liaison offices in California's Silicon Valley, New Jersey, Boston, Toronto and South Korea's Gangwon-do.
Established in November 1991, Changping Park lies in Changping district, northwest of Beijing. With a planned area of 11.48 square kilometers, the park is an integral part of the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park.
