Rigoletto is Giuseppe Verdi's 1851 masterpiece, and along with La Traviata and Troubadour is one of the three great works of the Italian composer's middle period. Rigoletto has been performed for more than a century with great success. The libretto is adapted from Victor Hugo's dramatic interpretation.
