Zhongguancun High-tech Enterprises Association (ZHEA) and a Beijing-based information and technology enterprise – Benguo – released an app for sharing information between governments and enterprises on July 4.
The app contains four columns: notice and announcements, policies and regulations, instructions to enterprises, as well as data and statistics. Users are free to add and remove the official government websites, and build their own custom modules with key words and topics on the app.
"As smartphones and other mobile devices spread across China, the country’s mobile phone user base had reached 516 million by the end of the first quarter of 2014. Therefore, ZHEA decided to develop an app jointly with one of its members to provide easier access to government information," Wang Xingyuan, executive director of ZHEA, said at the launch ceremony.
The app was upgraded after its trial operation in March, thanks to the two sides’ detailed discussions, Wang added.
The app is tailored software that aims to offer real-time information services for enterprises, and it opens up a "government-oriented and enterprises-involved" era for all ZHEA member enterprises.
The software can be downloaded from the official websites of ZHEA and Benguo, as well as app stores and other social media. Enterprise applicants are required to register with their real names on first use; but it will always be free for ZHEA member enterprises.
