Tsinghua University's entrepreneurship education course, "Starting a New Business," came to an end on Wednesday, according to the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee.
The course, nicknamed "the dream class of Zhongguancun," has attracted 73 startup teams so far. More than half of these teams started their own companies after finishing the course, and ten of them received financing of over 30 million yuan ($4.8 million).
"We are developing the course so that in ten years it will be the world's most unique, effective and influential class on business innovation," said Mei Meng, director of the Tsinghua Science Park Development Center.
Because of its growing reputation, this practical course continues to attract more students from universities and colleges outside of Tsinghua University. Students who apply for the course are evaluated by risk investors first.
