An industrial park for civil-military integration was officially established in Beijing's Zhongguancun Science Park on June 27, according to the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee.
The Second Artillery Equipment Research Institute and the government of Haidian district sponsored the project. The two signed a strategic cooperation agreement in order to ensure mutual benefits. The center will serve both the army and society, as well as research military science as it relates to economics and society.
The institute will take advantage of both independent and industrial development ongoing in Haidian district to promote civil-military integration.
Meanwhile, it will work with the district's government to form a leadership team that will make full use of its superior resources both to innovate and create new policies.
In recent years, the institute has signed strategic cooperation agreements to train personnel from more than ten well-known colleges and universities. It also has relations with over 50 military enterprises including the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation.
