The nation's first high-performance universal chip, developed by Capital Microelectronics Co - a high-tech enterprise in Zhongguancun Science Park, has entered the market, according to the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee.
In 2005, Liu Ming, founder of Capital Microelectronics, started his own business in Zhongguancun after quitting his job in America. After overcoming multiple technical difficulties last year, he and his team finally developed the universal chip and began mass production.
The chip’s data handling capabilities are superior to China's first universal chip, which was also developed by the company several years ago.
