Jingdong launched its estimated $1.78 billion initial public offering on the NASDAQ, this being China's largest financing amount in the US stock market; at the same time, Jingdong has become the country's e-commerce leader.

At present, Beijing is the headquarters for most of the e-commerce enterprises. There are five of the country's largest direct sales B2C companies in Beijing, covering 62.8 percent of transactions in the country.

According to statistics, Beijing retail sales reached 837.51 billion yuan($134 billion) in 2013, ranking first in the country for six consecutive years.

And online retail sales reached 92.68 billion yuan, an increase of 44.3 percent, accounting for 11.1 percent of the city's retail sales, which contributed 42.4 percent of the total amount of retail sales.

E-commerce has become a bright spot in highlighting Beijing's economic growth rate.

In fact, Jingdong, Dangdang, Amazon and other leading local commercial enterprises have been strongly out in force at CIFTIS in the past, representing the E-commerce industry for expressing their opinion on CIFTIS. "China (Beijing) E-Commerce Conference" is the most influential event in the domestic e-commerce industry and is also the most prosperous meeting place in Beijing.

There will be more than 80 government departments and over 500 companies’ representatives discussing the future direction of the e-commerce industry at this meeting, according to the Beijing Electronic Commerce Association. "There are a number of e-commerce projects on display at the exhibition, and they will show the future direction of e-commerce."

By then, the audience will find the solution which could help Jingdong cover the "last mile",or the part that actually reaches the customers, and also can experience the O2O business of Baidu mobile location-based services. At the event, the audience will also be able to do online shopping through their smart-phones, IPADs and other mobile terminals which are provided by the organizer.
