The award ceremony of the third Beijing Invention Patent Awards was held in Beijing on May 15，2014, Economic Daily reported on Thursday.
A total of 36 outstanding patent projects selected from 182 application projects won the award, and 23 of them are from enterprises in Zhongguancun Science Park.
The patent project from Beiqi Foton Motor Co won the grand prize, while seven patent projects from Tsinghua University, BOE Technology Group Co and other five units won the second prize. Another 13 patent projects took third place.
Beijing Invention Patent Awards is the nation’s first provincial award for invention patents. It has been successfully held triennial on three occasions since 2008, aiming to award patentees and inventors who have made great contributions to the capital’s economic and social development.
