Foreign language event draws thousands to park

Hundreds of foreigners joined 90,000 locals at Chaoyang Park during the weekend for the "Tell Beijing's Stories with Foreign Languages" event, part of the annual Beijing Foreign Language Festival organized by the city's Foreign Affairs Office.

Activities ranged from lectures and vocabulary contests to performances of Shakespeare's works and exhibitions of foreign culture. More than 200 students from 31 countries set up booths to display their nations' costumes, art, coins and other items.
