The 3Gmate, a portable wireless broadband device developed by Skyroam Service Limited, a Zhongguancun-based high-tech firm in Beijing, offers access to wireless broadband Internet services that have been officially rolled out in more than 30 countries, including the US, Australia and Canada, Beijing Business Today reported on Tuesday.
The 3Gmate can help reduce the cost of global roaming. It allows subscribers to enjoy global Internet services wherever they are at a fixed price without global roaming or a limit on flow of information within 24 hours.
It also allows international roamers to eliminate the hassle of buying and replacing SIM cards from different countries, according to Liu Jing, founder of the company.
