A movie about ordinary people realizing their dreams in Beijing welcomed audience at cinemas in the city during the fourth Beijing International Festival, which opened on April 16 and will last until Wednesday.
As part of a short film series, the movie – Yuanmeng Beijing, or Realizing Dreams in Beijing – consists of six stories about different groups of ordinary people, such as a policeman that works in a neighborhood, a group of youths that were born post-90's, and migrant workers.
The production tells stories of ordinary people’s lives in Beijing and shows their courage and persistence in realizing their dreams in such an urban environment.
The producers – Beijing Pengbo Jiahua Media Co – took nearly one year to collect real-life material with the help of a group of noted scholars and screenwriters and governmental departments.
The rest of the production will be shown to the public over the media in the near future.
