The authorities in Xicheng district denied media reports that the Beijing Zoo Wholesale Market will be relocated to Langfang, Hebei province, Beijing Times reported on Thursday.
An article in China Business Journal said on Wednesday that the market would be moved. It also said that the governments of Langfang and Beijing's Xicheng district would sign a contract on Thursday morning dealing with the move.
Xicheng district said that only a framework agreement would be signed, and the market will not be included.
