Three patent companies from Zhongguancun Science Park participated in the 2014 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) in Barcelona, according to the administrative committee of Zhongguancun Science Park.
The companies were Beijing Tianyu Communication Equipment Co Ltd, Beijing Jinshan Internet Technology Ltd, and Ultrapower Software Co Ltd. They showcased their products and met potential customers in an exhibiting area of 72 square meters.
This year's event was hosted in Barcelona from Feb 24 to 27. Featuring sessions with the theme of "GSMA Connected City", MWC 2014 focused on the hot topic of how to revolutionize people's conception of "city" by applying cutting-edge technologies to important aspects of urban life, such as healthcare, education, retailing, transportation and identity.
Big names in technology - including Intel, Microsoft, Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei and China Mobile – also came to MWC 2014 to showcase their latest products, and the most sought-after products this year was wearable devices such as Samsung's updated Galaxy Gear and LG's G Arch.
As the most influential event in the mobile field, this year's MWC hosted about 90,000 attendants and 1,700 exhibitors from 150 countries.
