A couple police said were responsible for the deaths of two neighbors after a conflict over pets, stood trial on suspicion of intentional injury at the Beijing No 3 Intermediate People's Court on Thursday, the Beijing Times reported. The husband, surnamed Xu, and his wife, surnamed Wang, allegedly fought with members of a family living in the apartment below them in June 2013 after one member struck one of the couple's two dogs with a stick. Xu is accused of killing two of the family members, a father and son, and injuring another with a fruit knife in the melee. The court has not yet issued a verdict.
