2 companies found to be smuggling waste

Beijing customs officers found two companies involved in the smuggling of 4,474 metric tons of waste plastics and metals in a recent raid. Two Beijing companies colluded with a cargo agent in Tianjin to import solid waste and sell it to unlicensed processing companies, which seriously pollute the air and water in their environs, according to customs officials.
