Representatives from over 20 well-known language service companies gathered to discuss how to promote the influence of China's language service industry and brand awareness.
Huang Changqi, assistant to the president of the Translators' Association of China (TAC), hosted the symposium. She introduced the preparatory work of the event, in particular the preliminary agenda of the forum "Language – Key to Global Success", which was organized by the TAC, Globalization and Localization Association, Localization World and Rockant Education and Consulting.
Huang believed that the event, which is considered to be a barometer for the language services industry, will offer an international trading platform for both suppliers and customers.
Delegates expressed their willingness to support and participate in the event, which is significant for promoting the industry.
Huang also explained the trade matching platform, which matches activities and exhibition services at the meeting.
The language forum, being one of the top ten CIFTIS forums, will provide quality language service partners for enterprises and institutions, and help them to develop their own international language service strategy.
Meanwhile, it will release accurate official information on both international and domestic language service markets, enhance cooperation between language service industries at home and abroad, and discuss opportunities and challenges for the industry.
The forum welcomes all stakeholders in the language services industry – global content managers, suppliers of translation and localization services, language technology developers, business consultants, and language training institutions.
