1st human infected with H7N9 virus in capital

A man in Beijing has contracted the H7N9 bird flu, the first case reported in the city this year, authorities confirmed on Friday. The city's disease control and prevention center said the patient had eaten pigeons before being admitted to the hospital. He is receiving treatment at Ditan Hospital.
