Renmin University halts independent recruitment

Renmin University is to suspend independent recruitment of students for a year to improve and standardize its admissions process, Beijing Morning Post reported. In November, Cai Rongsheng, head of admissions at the university, was investigated for his role in a scandal that involved selling places there for high prices.
