Beijing will build a community for senior citizens in Dongba village, Dandian township, Chaoyang district. The construction site will be in the south of the village, covering an area of 4 hectares. About 30 percent of the land will be used for greening.
The announcement was released on the official website of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning on Dec 3. The community will have three buildings and two garages. The height of the buildings will range from 45 to 60 meters with a total of 510 parking spaces.
The community will have a total planned floor area of 40,000 square meters and a total construction area of 127,800 square meters. When completed, a total of 800 beds will be provided for senior citizens in Beijing.
