Beijing uses stricter measures to tackle dust pollution

In September, the urban management departments and housing and construction departments in each district of Beijing sent out personnel to inspect the city's construction sites. To date, 15 companies with serious dust pollution problems have been disqualified from tendering for 30 to 90 days.

For units with serious dust pollution problems, the Beijing Municipal Housing and Construction Committee followed the strictest measurements. These companies cannot construct new projects for a month and have to receive a notice of criticism. Their credit record will also be affected, which is closely related to their future tendering.
