Beijing is having the country's 25 new, most commendable theater plays on a nonstop run in the city's major cinemas for two weeks until Aug 25. Selected from a pool of more than 40, the performances feature a gamut of shows from classic re-makes to new pieces. As a biennial effort, the Ministry of Culture has scouted the shows from across the nation in a bid to promote theater development.
