Work crews have begun installing safety barrier doors on two Beijing subway lines, Beijing Evening News reported. The work on Line 13 and the Batong Line began on Sunday, and will be done by the end of September. The doors will be put into service next year after testing, the report said. Workers can install the barrier doors only in the early morning. After the project is completed, the subway's Line 1 and Line 2 will be the only lines that don't have safety doors.
