The culture center of Beijing’s Shijingshan district offered a series of performances at the Beijing Garden Expo over the weekend, following Mentougou, the host district of the cultural activity the previous weekends.

About 60 performers, including senior citizens over 60, participated in the local culture promotion activities at Ziwei Square in the expo from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on July 6 and 7.

The two-day event amazed visitors with various art forms, such as Beijing opera; Pingju, a local opera of North China; clapper ballads, a traditional Chinese folk art; fashion shows; and some original songs and dance performances that capture the people and landscapes of the district.
