Li Yongzhong, from the city of Renqiu, Hebei province, was lucky enough to be the 500,000th visitor to the ninth China (Beijing) International Garden Expo in Beijing’s Fengtai district.
Li paid a visit to the Garden Expo on June 1, when Gao Feng, deputy head of Fengtai district was on hand to give him a present - a doll of the expo mascot Yuanyuan.

Gao said that the expo is progressing well and will attract more visitors, given that over 500,000 people have been here in just half a month since it opened.
On the same day, International Children’s Day, there were various performances and celebration activities at the Garden Expo.
