A total of about 150 domestic enterprises, including China UnionPay, Air China and eLong.com, and also enterprises and commercial organizations from over 40 countries, participated in matchmaking and project promotion at China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (Beijing Fair) on June 1.
The participants made enquiries about various sectors, including e-commerce, automobile, finance and renewable energy, and several companies from home and abroad achieved initial intent of cooperation, with an investment of 104.79 billion yuan ($17.12 billion).
A representative from the Italy-China Economic Cooperation Association of Trade and Industry said the distribution sector of this year’s Beijing Fair is a strategic platform for the expansion of international enterprises in China, as well as an important channel for domestic companies to gain a global presence.
The commission of commerce of Chaoyang district, the organizer of the distribution sector at the fair, said that distribution serves as a bridge that links producers and consumers.
The district plans to attract more businesses and headquarters to boost the regional headquarter economy.
