A distribution industry meet-and-greet at this year’s Beijing Fair attracted more than 150 enterprises and organizations from roughly 40 countries, including Italy, Russia and South Korea.
The fair provided a platform for business opportunities among leading enterprises from home and abroad, such as China UnionPay, Air China and eLong.com.
The fair also held forums and promotions on various topics. High-profile government officials and CEOs from multinationals had face-to-face discussions at the forums.
About 40 projects that signed service distribution deals could raise the fair’s estimated business total to 55 billion yuan ($8.9 billion).
The promotion on service distribution, organized by Chaoyang district’s commission of commerce, focused on “Trade in Services: The New Engine for Value Enhancement”.
Chaoyang district planned to establish the promotion for service distribution as a strategic platform for international enterprises seeking cooperation in China, as well as a “going global” channel for domestic service distribution businesses, according to a commerce authority for the district.
The district also offered participants a chance to share innovative models and new technologies in service distribution, in addition to providing opportunities to develop new channels and markets for the sector.
“Air China and eLong.com are expected to sign an agreement on project cooperation at the Beijing Fair, which is a fruitful result that will build channels for service distribution,” the official added.
Chaoyang district will give the traders opportunities to exhibit their achievements and promote their business in services, especially in the service distribution sector.
Distribution connects producers and consumers in the modern market economy. Distribution services covers all transfer of goods and services from producers to consumers and provides value for consumers.
