An installation design, White Connections, made its debut in Baimamedo Art Center in Beijing’s 798 Art Zone on March 27.
The work, created by famous Italian artist Rudy Pulcinelli, is also the first Tibetan art work in the art zone.
The work originates from three key carriers of Tibetan culture: Tibetan characters, prayer flags and Marnyi stones. In Tibetan culture, characters are considered a medium to communicate with the gods and nature; the prayer flags were used to carry blessings to all beings and the symbols carved on the stones stand for introspection and self-learning.
The whole art work shows Rudy‘s understanding of the mysterious Tibetan culture. Exibart and Arte.go, two Italian media companies focusing on art, have followed the whole design process.
The exhibition will be displayed with Purify the Heart, a photo exhibition of Tibet.
In the next two years, the Baimamedo Art Center will invite more artists worldwide to create art work on Tibet. The creations will give audiences in Europe and the USA a visual feast of ancient Tibetan work and amazing designs.

About Rudy Pulcinelli
Rudy Pulcinelli was born in 1970 in Prato, Italy. He attended P. Petrocchi Art Institute in Pistoia and the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence. He has a sharp sense of art and focuses on materials research.In the 1990s, he set foot in the exhibition industry and made his way to the United States, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Netherlands, Uruguay, Thailand, Morocco and Argentina.
He received several awards, including the Next Generation Prize, Fiorino d’Oro Florence Prize and the Europol International Art Prize.
