Beijing has pledged to boost its tourism revenue by 10 percent this year.
Investment in tourism projects will account for more than 10 percent of the capital's total fixed-asset investment, the city's tourism development committee said.
Beijing's tourism industry generated 133.62 billion yuan ($21.49 billion) in 2012, up 12.3 percent year-on-year, accounting for 7.5 percent of its GDP.
Trips to the capital last year reached 231 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.1 percent.
Beijing ranks top among Chinese cities in the degree of satisfaction of inbound tourists, the committee said.
