Beijing Tong Ren Tang (TRT) is a time-honored brand in the traditional Chinese medicine business, founded in the eighth year of Kangxi emperor (1669 AD), during the Qing Dynasty (1644 -1911). By the first year of the Yongzheng emperor (1723 AD), TRT had been appointed medicine purveyor for the Qing imperial pharmacy. It served eight generations of Qing emperors over a 188-year period.
