Located at No. 34 Zhoukoudian Street in Fangshan district, Beijing, Zhoukoudian International Art Zone is a place for young artists to create work and start businesses.

The art zone was reconstructed from the Beijing Dahua Shirt Factory and covers an area of 4 hectares. The workshop buildings have been transformed into exhibition halls, creation areas, office buildings, art chambers, multi-function rooms and dormitories. It spans 8,000 square meters and contains 28 studios capable of housing more than 30 artists and several art companies.

The zone will establish a sketch base for young artists, an International Art Exchange Base, and an International Artwork Exhibition and Auction Area.

So far, several famous young painters and calligraphers have settled in the zone, including Guo Zhengmin, who was rewarded ay the 150th Louvre International Art Salon in late December 2010 for his work The Fragments of Life.

No 46 Fangjia Hutong

The art zone in Fangjia Hutong was transformed from an old auditorium, boiler room, and constant temperature workshop constructed during the 1950s and 1990s. It has become a birthplace for cross-border art and original products. To date, more than 40 cultural and creative companies have settled in the zone, turning it into a mini 798.
