The project is located in Yushuzhuang village, Huaxiang county, Fengtai district, which has convenient transportation, 1 mile away from the southwestern part of the 4th ring road and 800 meters near the west exit of Beijing-Shijiazhuang highway. A station for Subway line 16 is planned at the north base.

The project will take advantage of the competitive industrial base and abundant talents for digital technology, publications and media in the national publication center, Beijing would make it an industrial cluster area to spearhead digital publications based in the city. The project can develop up-and-coming digital publication companies and help them rank among the world-renowned leading enterprises with a good social image. The project will promote economic developments of southern Beijing and the capital city as a whole.
Brief introduction
The Beijing National Digital Publishing Base will include several parks. The base headquarters is scheduled to start construction in 2012 and completed by 2020. Covering 60,0000 square meters, the base could attract approximately 50 well-known enterprises to create annual output value of 50 bn. Yuan ($8 bn).
Preparations for construction
The project group will cooperate with Yushuzhuang village to absorb social capital and establish the Beijing Digital Publishing Industry Company to take responsibility for management of project development. The joint stock company will establish a corporate governance structure.
Conditions for construction
Relevant planning documents: “The plan by the Ministry of Culture to double the cultural industry’s volume during the twelfth ‘Five-Year’ period”; “The development plan for the cultural and creative industry in Beijing during twelfth ‘Five-Year’ period”; “The development plan for the cultural and creative industry in Fengtai during twelfth ‘Five-Year’ period”; “The plan for industrial development and spatial arrangement in Fengtai during twelfth ‘Five-Year’ period”.
Relevant construction conditions: Infrastructure facilities, such as roads and municipal pipes around the area, had been completed. “Seven Connections and One Leveling, which means municipal roads, water supply, electricity, heating, drainage, sewerage, telecommunication and land formation had also been completed.
