Philanthropy banquet raises 4 million yuan

A total of 4 million yuan was donated at a philanthropy banquet held in Beijing on Dec 17, China Philanthropy Times reported.

Ma Ji, a well-known cross-talk artist in China, donated 2 million yuan for a charity auction after the banquet, said the report.

The donations will be given to a public charity fund which was established to help children suffering from cardiac diseases, the report said.
