Dating: It's lonely in my brother's shadow

My brother gets all the girls and it's really affecting my confidence. We're both in our early 20s and go out together to clubs around Beijing all the time. I think we both have similar looks, but the girls are all over him and they ignore me. The same thing happened in our hometown in Australia. I usually end up standing alone with nothing to hold but a drink. I’m starting to feel there might be something wrong with me.

Have you talked about the situation with him? Is he willing to introduce the women to you or does he keep them to himself? If it’s the latter, maybe it’s best you find a new clubbing buddy. Perhaps the women that are attracted to your brother are not your type, and you’re giving out those vibes. Put yourself into a different environment, join an event or club that interests you – hopefully one that also is attractive to women (avoid anything to do with chess, engineering and video games). Many a romance started out at a book club.
