One voice, two sessions

As the countdown to the two sessions continues, Chinese and overseas people have already been voicing their ideas and opinions through social networking to share their expectations and suggestions.

The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the top political advisory body, and the National People's Congress (NPC), China's parliament, will open on March 3 and 5.

Huangxihua:

Here are my expectations: People would be able to have better education, more stable job, more satisfactory income, more reliable social security, more advanced medical care service, more livable environment, and of course, more joyful travels!

Yilingliudianliu:

The key is to implement the proposals presented during the two sessions. Less cliches, and more concern for migrant workers.

Leyanna:

The two sessions are reportedly to be paper free to cut 2 million yuan budget. Besides, there will be no red carpet welcomes and no wine for buffets. It’s going to be a very different one.

Doctor Gebozi:

A famous TV journalist Lvqiu Luwei once said that spiritual encouragement is important, but it is like anesthetic, you will still feel the pain afterwards. [More]

Liangjunqiang:

Are there any deputies going to present a motion on child trafficking? I think the people involved should get life imprisonment.

Lawyer Luowenfang:

I am looking forward to the meaningful proposals like a ban on fireworks for clean air, streamline government agencies targeting bureaucracy, and disclosure of officials’ property. [More]

Longdashaoye V5:

If all deputies took public transportation instead of limousines, it would set a really good example to combat airborne pollution.

Zhuzhubzai:

My expectations on the sessions are: no political corruption, no airborne and water pollution. Blue sky and clean water is what I long for.

Yansheng:

The two sessions shouldn’t miss out these points: harsh punishment for food safety violators and environment polluters, curbing housing prices, and disclosure of officials’ property.

Xudanei:

People hate those deputies who present proposals without solid field studies. The deputy who proposed free train rides during holidays is one of them.
