Olympic preview: China in action on day 10

Gymnastics looks likely to be Team China's best hope on Day 10 in the slim 18 medal events taking place Monday.

Chen Yibing, who has already won one gold medal in London, will be looking to repeat his success when he defends his Beijing title in the artistic men's rings at 9 pm. Chen, 27, from Tianjin, is the current world number one in this event and a favorite to win.

Also hoping to hold on to her Beijing gold and world title will be He Kexin in the women's uneven bars at 9:50 pm. Fellow teammate Yao Jinnan will also compete for a medal in the same event.

Li Ling and Gong Lijiao will take part in the final qualifications in the women's shot put at 5:45 pm and a place in the medal final at 2:15 am.

In sailing, current number one Xu Lijia will compete in the women's laser radial medal event at 8 pm.

Lan Xing and Zhu Qinan will aim to qualify for the men's 50m rifle 3 position shooting event at 4 pm. Du Yu will also hope for glory in the men's trap final at the same time.

In wrestling, Liu Deli will battle Hungary's Mihaly Deak-Bardos in the men's 120kg greco-roman qualifications at 8 pm. Sheng Jiang will face Iran's Omid Haji Noroozi in the men's 60kg category at 8:18 pm.
