World champion Qin Kai, paired with Luo Yutong, will hope to advance the country's command of the Olympic diving medals Wednesday evening when they compete in the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard.

The 26-year-old from Shanxi province, dubbed the stable king, won gold at Beijing Olympics in 2008 and has continued to rule the event since, winning the Asian Games in 2010, the World Championships in 2011 and the World Series and Cup in 2012.

Qin, the clear favorite to win the event at 10 pm, will also propel China to stay ahead in the medal league table.

Gold is also guaranteed in the women's table tennis match at the ExCeL Centre as both finalists are from China. Ding Ning and Li Xiaoxia will battle for the top spot at 10:30 pm.

In Judo, 21-year-old Chen Fei from Tianjin will face Poland's Katarzyna Klys in the woman's 70kg elimination rounds.

Lu Haojie and Lu Xiaojun will fight battle for a medal in the men's 77kg weightlifting bout around 2 am, before the action once again moves to the Aquatic Center.

Jiao Liuyang and Liu Zige will compete for a top spot in the women's 200m butterfly.

Other medal chances include, Zhang Yage and Gao Yulan in the rowing and Li Guojie, Zhu Min and Chen Xiaodong in the fencing.
