From Harbin in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province to Manzhouli in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the railway has been open to passengers since 1901.
As a transportation artery in Northeast China, the 935-kilometer-long railway connects with the Trans-Siberian Railway by traveling to the west of Manzhouli.
