Woman embroiders huge painting
A 40-year-old woman in Yiwu, Zhejiang province spent three years to complete an embroidered replica of the renowned Chinese painting River Scene at Qingming Festival, Chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.
The embroidery artist, surnamed Xu, is a shop owner who likes doing cross-stitch embroidery in her spare time. She bought the 22-metre long embroidery kit from one of her customers in 2012, and began working on it day and night since then.
The exquisite handicraft, which has filled a whole street when fully displayed by Xu, earned the admiring glances of passersby.
