The once red and hot civil service post is losing its glamour, as an increasing number of Chinese civil servants are seeking to switch jobs, said an industry report.
According to Zhaopin.com, a Chinese human resource website, more than 10,000 employees working for government or government-funded institutions signed up on its platform looking for jobs in the first week after the Spring Festival.
Positions at property, finance and Internet industries are most favored by job seekers.
