BEIJING - A senior military official has called for better implementation of the "mass line" campaign, as part of efforts to build a strong military.
Fan Changlong, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), made the remarks recently while inspecting troops in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
"Mass line" refers to a guideline under which the Communist Party of China (CPC) is required to prioritize the interests of the people.
Fan urged senior military officials to clarify their personal housing, vehicle use, use of public funds, and employment of their relatives.
