Students attend a job fair targeting next year's college graduates in Huai'an, Jiangsu province, on Saturday. A record 7.49 million college graduates are expected to enter the workforce this year.[He Jinghua/for China Daily] |
Li Xia, a woman from North China's Hebei province, landed a job with salary of 9,500 yuan a month shortly after she arrived at Hangzhou.
Her secret of success is good preparation. Before going to Hangzhou, Li spent a year learning website design and development, an in-demand skill in Hangzhou, where e-commerce giant Alibaba is headquartered.
Another "winner" at the Xiezhi is Shi Songting. The 22-year-old, who learned media post-production in college, received an offer from a well-known media company.
But He Wenjie could not wait any more.
She stayed in Xiezhi for a week to make a last effort in finding a job, but finally decided to say goodbye to Hangzhou.
